Coach helpers training – February/March 2016

You can help to keep the club flourishing!

Over 75% of the coaches and helpers at the club are made up of parents who have athletes currently competing at the club. We really do depend on parents to come forward to help the club flourish and so I’d like to invite you to come along to the next training day where you can learn the basics of how to set up activities and be a helping hand to the coaches. From there we can pair you up with a group and you can help to set up equipment or even help take activities if you feel confidant.

The majority of the coaches at the club had no previous experience in athletics prior to helping out at Whitemoss so there is nothing to worry about. If you’re worried that you might not be able to be much help I can assure you that you will be. There are simple tasks that coaches could use a hand with on training nights that make coaching a lot easier so please sign up. You will be great!

Once I have a number of people interested in helping out I will arrange a day for training. This may be delivered by myself or by Scottish athletics depending on the numbers. I will also leave it open to any athletes (aged 16+) looking to get involved in coaching.
