Please see the below from Holly’s coach Iain McEwan....

Holly McArthur joined Whitemoss as a 12 year old! Fast forward 6 years to 12th and 13th March 2018 and she'll be representing Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

Holly joined Whitemoss in 2012, from Airdrie Harriers, where she was mainly training as an endurance athlete. She joined the Combined Events group and within 4 months she had won her first Scottish Combined Events title. The under 14 Pentathlon Championship. She was obviously a fast learner!

She has amassed quite a few Scottish titles and also travels to England regularly and has won their championships several times. The English Championships are generally regarded as British Championships as the best athletes from the UK usually attend.

Other achievements by Holly are....

European U20 Bronze medalist - 4x400m. Grosseto, Italy.
GB internationalist. Numerous selections.
Scottish record holder in the following
U20 Heptathlon - 5687 points
U17 Heptathlon - 5051 points
U17 Indoor Pentathlon - 3365 points
U17 400metres hurdles - 60.23s
U15 Indoor Pentathlon - 3361 points
U15 Indoor Long Jump - 5.48m

Holly must be seen as an inspirational figure for all at the club. She must be one of the most dedicated and hard working athletes in Scotland.

Holly will travel to Australia in mid-March and will train there for over three weeks, with coach Iain, before competing on 12th and 13th April. Be sure to note your diary to follow Holly’s progress.
